Exam etiquette!

• Arrive on time to all of your exams (your timetable is on your tutor notice board)

• Most examinations will be in the auditorium. You will be told if they are not

• Bags must not be brought into the exam hall…leave them in your locker

• Electronic items (other than a calculator) are not allowed into the exam hall.

• Enter the exam hall in silence

• Food is not allowed in the exam hall

• Water (in a clear plastic container) is allowed

• Pens, pencils, etc must be brought in a clear plastic bag e.g. a Ziploc bag. We will not lend you any equipment during the exam.

• Do not start writing until you are told to do so

• If you need to ask a question during an exam, raise your hand and wait for a teacher to come to you. Do not call out.

• Stop writing when you are told to do so

• Do not be tempted to communicate during the exam – this will result in disqualification

• Leave the exam hall in silence

Year 7 & 8: REMEMBER TO BRING A READING BOOK TO EACH EXAMINATION. THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN YOU WILL HAVE A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AFTER AN EXAM TO READ. THE BOOK SHOULD BE PLACED UNDER YOUR DESK.
