 Beginners Spanish – GCSE Year 10 and Year 11
 

 Programme of study:

 


  In Year 10 and Year 11, students study Spanish as beginners. Students use Listos 3 Verde and Rojo (Foundation and Higher levels) as the main textbooks. During the two-year course, the students cover five topic areas:

Topic 1: At home and abroad

• Holidays, tourist information and accommodation

Topic 2: Education, training and employment

• School life and routine
• Different types of jobs
• Future plans and work experience

Topic 3: House, home and daily routine

Topic 4: Media, entertainment and youth culture

• Sport, fashion and entertainment
• Famous personalities
• Current affairs, social and environmental issues

Topic 5: Social activities, fitness and health

Free time (evenings, weekends)
• Special occasions
• Hobbies, interests and sports
• Shopping and money matters
• Accidents, injuries
