At the Dubai English Speaking College, Physical Education is an important part of the curriculum. We believe that all children, whatever their circumstances or abilities, should be able to participate in and enjoy Physical Education and Sport. Physical Education is an important part of any student’s development in life. It brings cohesion, friendship, social interaction and a competitive spirit, which is essential in today’s world.
The essence of PE at the Dubai English Speaking College is:
• To involve all students in physical activity in order to develop a knowledge and understanding of a range of sports and activities;
• To develop these attributes where students are challenged through enjoyable and competitive activities;
• To provide various opportunities for pupils to be creative, competitive and work to specific goals as individuals and as members of a group or team;
• To create an environment where the students will enjoy participation in physical activity and so foster a desire for activity as leisure;
• To assist the students in the development and maintenance of a satisfactory level of personal fitness
